Dropped Kerbs
A dropped kerb (also known as a footpath crossing or vehicle crossover) allows your vehicle to cross a footpath and go onto your driveway. In order to do this, the kerb is lowered from its normal height, and the path is strengthened to take the weight of the vehicle. Without it, it is possible that the path and any pipes beneath it might be damaged as a result. Driving over a footway without dropping the kerb is against the law, and you could be subject to enforcement action.
